On the Timer tab, tap the settings button to open Breathing. Pick a preset — Coherent (5-5), Relax (4-7-8), or Box (4-4-4-4) — or adjust the inhale, hold, exhale, and rest durations individually to build your own pattern.
Halo taps your phone (or your wrist, on Apple Watch) at every phase change — breathe in, hold, breathe out, rest — so you can follow the rhythm with your eyes closed. There are no sounds during a session; a chime plays only when your session completes.
Tap the circle to start or pause a session, and press and hold to reset. While idle, drag across the circle (or turn the Digital Crown) to change the session length. The watch mirrors a session running on your iPhone, too.
Add a Halo widget to your Home Screen (touch and hold the Home Screen → Edit → Add Widget → Halo). Tapping a quick-start widget opens Halo and starts a session at that length immediately.
The Stats tab shows your current streak, total mindful minutes, a 12-week heatmap, and the Chill-O-Meter. If you've granted Health access, every session also logs as mindful minutes in Apple Health.
Check Settings → Apps → Halo and make sure Live Activities are turned on. The countdown appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island while a session is running.
Completed watch sessions transfer when your iPhone is in range with Bluetooth on. If a session seems stuck, open Halo on both devices and give it a moment — transfers queue up and deliver automatically.
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. Synced history can be removed from iCloud in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. See the privacy policy for details.
